Two of my Phals have new orchids growing directly off the plant, not the flower stalk (see photo). I have been hoping for kikis, but my understanding (based on web research) is that they are supposed to grow off the flower stalk. I'm not sure what to do with this... both of the parent orchids are particularly special to me and I don't want to risk their health. I would also like to know if there is a cause for this type of growth, thanks much!

I am finding the same issue but obviously no answers, what has happened to your plants in the meantime?
