Where to find clear plastic pots in Sacramento
Does anyone know where to find clear/opaque plastic pots in the Sacramento area? I tried every nursery and garden supply I could think of and didn't find them anywhere. I ended up ordering some online, but would much prefer to buy locally and avoid shipping and other charges. Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, Alan at Gold Country Orchids in Lincoln is the only place that carries them. Alan is always at the meetings - so in the future you can call him and ask him to bring some down to the meetings... myself I just buy them from online - from Cal West Tropical but there are several websites that sells them. I know this isn't practical for the average hobbyist who only needs one or two pots here and there...

In the coming months I'm going to try and make some type of arrangement with one of the local hydroponics stores (you know.. the stores selling supplies to grow "tomatoes" indoors? ) and or nurseries to carry more orchids supplies. There HAS to be a market for them - especially if we recommend them!

I know that Osh, Home Depot, Lowes and various nurseries in town carry some types of fertilizer and or repotting mediums but I'm not aware of any one good source - anyone?

You may check with this one - http://www.plantandpotteryoutlet.com/. They have a lot of inventories, you might find what you are looking for in here. Walmart used to sell plastic pots as well, not quite sure for now if there are available pots on sale.
